Okay so I’ve just seen posts on the subject of a rumor that matthew is leaving criminal minds at the end of season 8/9. Firstly, if he were to leave it’d be that he just wouldn’t sign for season 9 because 1) he can’t just leave mid season because of contracts and what not and 2) criminal minds season 8 has VERY NEARLY finished filming so we would’ve heard by now. Also, these are rumors - NO ONE has published a quote of this and matthew hasn’t sad it himself so we have no reason to remotely believe this! Where did these rumors even come from, anyway? Personally, I don’t think matthew will leave just yet; if criminal minds renews for a 9th season (which is very likely http://www.spoilersguide.com/criminal-minds/season-9-certain-to-be-renewed/ <—- see) I think matthew loves criminal minds too much to leave this early on; I mean it’s not like he’s jetting off to be in a block buster movie. To conclude this very hopeful rant: I REALLY HOPE MATTHEW STAYS ON THE SHOW UNTIL THE VERY END! Of course, one day there’ll come the very depressing day where criminal minds will end, but I hope matthew stays around to see that day because I love him a lot and criminal minds wouldn’t be the same without him<3
